Broken gear does not fit on a trailer

A gate that has dropped, a loader with a cracked mount, a yard rail bent out of shape. None of that is easy to bring in, so I bring the workshop out to you instead.

The ute is set up for jobs away from the workshop, and the back of it was upgraded to make off-site work easier. Most of what I do happens on the farm or on your site, because that is where the gear is.

If a job genuinely needs the workshop, I will tell you that when you ring rather than making two trips of it.

About IES

Hi, Ben here from IES

I run Innovative Engineering Solutions from a workshop on Mouse Point Road, conveniently placed between Culverden and Hanmer Springs, servicing all of North Canterbury.

I do a bit of everything. Design, fabrication and install, gates, cattle yards, dairy shed repairs, machinery breakdowns, structural work and custom one-off builds. You name it.

I come to you, get it sorted properly, and make sure it lasts. Quality work, honest price, and I actually turn up when I say I will.

Why give me a ring

How I work

  • No job too small, no job too awkward

The jobs other people cannot be bothered with are often the ones holding you up. Bring them to me.

  • I come to you

Most repairs happen where the gear is, on the farm or on your site. The ute is set up for it.

  • Sorted properly, made to last

A repair that fails again in six months is not a repair. Things get fixed so they stay fixed.

  • I turn up when I say I will

Quality work and an honest price, from someone who shows up on the day he said he would.

Common questions

Before you call

What areas do you cover?

North Canterbury. The workshop is on Mouse Point Road between Culverden and Hanmer Springs, and I regularly work in Cheviot, Kaikōura and beyond. If you are not sure whether you are in range, give me a ring and ask.

Do you come out to the job?

Yes. A lot of the work is done on farm or on site, because that is where the gear is. The ute is set up for off-site jobs. Some work is better done in the workshop, and I will tell you if yours is one of those.

What sort of work do you take on?

If it is made from metal, I can sort it. Design, fabrication and install, structural work, custom one-off builds, and the maintenance and repair jobs that keep farms and businesses ticking. Gates, cattle yards, dairy shed repairs and machinery breakdowns are a big part of it.

Is any job too small?

No. No job too small, no job too awkward. The small jobs that keep getting put off are usually quick to sort once they are in front of me.

Can I drop in to the workshop?

Ring me first. I work off-site a fair bit, so the workshop is not always staffed and you could have a wasted trip. Call or message and we will sort out a time.

How do I get in touch?

Call or text Ben on 027 938 7423, email ben.bush.ies@gmail.com, send a message on Facebook, or fill in the form on this site.

Got a job that needs doing?

Give Ben a ring and tell him what has happened. If it is easier, send the form and he will come back to you.
